Inspired by "Awakenings"
Echoes of skylight glimmering upon still waters silhouettes of shadows ~ haunting memories ~ of stillness and yet, the stillness lulla-byes us, oh yes. Tender droplets of sky-fallen tears, grasp hold the branches and twigs to cling ... with the promises they bring, in hopes of spring. Flowers catch the sun ~ though hidden, unseen. And still ~ their perfume rises into my memory and who could deny, she had arrived. I hear her whisperings. I hear her song. Tenderly, she touches down e're so near. Sh-sh-sh ~ I hear her approaching now.
