The Beauty You Seek is Everywhere

Placidly the music flows 

like the gentle stream 

and the leaves softly whisper. 

The flowers shine like, 

the sun's glistening 

upon the stream. 

Water falls like silken ribbons 

and eddys are created magically, 

where there were none. 

Slow down sweet lens 

allow me more time.

Flowing so excitedly here, 

I wish this to go on.

   Reaching out ...

I see a root. 

Wishing to be carried 

to where  

it can become a tree. 

Walk on.

Follow the trail

into the shadows.

There, 

look up to sky.

Look again to your feet 

then you can see 

all that was and yet will be. 

        Time can't erase the gifts 

that set such beauty 

before our eyes

if we take the time,

to listen to the music 

and gaze 

between the branches 

to the skies.

        Now take a deep breath, 

smell the beautiful blossoms 

in the tree.

Sweet essence they bring ...

        Water spigots shoot high and arc low. 

A wee duck or three, bob atop the pool. 

Creating nary a shadow in the glisten of the sun.

        A swan appears, losing sight of itself. 

Looking for it's reflection ... 

a bright light appears. 

Is this me? It wonders .. 

That just might be !

        Look about you, 

as {Gottfried} has done for us here 

and you will always find the beauty you seek. 

For it is everywhere.
