From the Shores of: "The Glistening Sea

Inspired by the music of Nicky Bendix's "The Glistening Sea"

        UPON THE SHORE OF
        "THE GLISTENING SEA"

        Fog horn and ...
       crystalline light beams
on a foggy night, light ...
        upon a mysterious hill top.

        Out of the inky black
        there appears an ancient vessel.
        Though to all appearances
        she is merely a mirage,
        adrift in the distance.

Gray haze of spirits drift about her.
        Comes then,
        a clarifying breeze
        sweeping across the sea

        Wherefore a brilliant light appears,
like a ball of a thousand night stars.
It seems to dance about the ship.

        With each pass she collects
      another spirit stream,
        within her tenderness.

        Each time ...
        the star beams brighter,
        as these beings of light
        gather unto her.

The light on the coast hill
        glows dim,
        against the brightest star
        you have ever seen.

        And out of the heavens
        there comes a starship
        glancing across the sea.

        She heaves and breathes
        and pulls to her,
       this brightest star
        and enters there she in.

Where all the surface of the ship
     upon the sea
        so brightly lit with colours
        you have never before seen.

        Bearing the power
        of the light within,
        does she fly away?

        No she does not.
        She simply dissipates,
vanishing ... before our very eyes,
into the darkness of the night.
